Crucible is a free-to-play team-based action shooter driven by the choices you make. You start by choosing a hunter from a diverse roster of aliens and humans with unique weapons and abilities, and then work with teammates to hunt opponents, take down hostile creatures, and harvest Essence. Hunters use harvested Essence to level up within each match to increase power and enhance their abilities.
In order to play Crucible, you'll need a Steam account, an internet connection, and a PC—you can visit our system requirements page for full details on PC specifications.

Crucible hunters are not limited to specific classes or even roles. Crucible brings character types from various genres into one battlefield, emphasizing unique designs that enable varied playstyles. Each hunter in Crucible can be applied in a variety of ways, so don't get too hung up on looking for the perfect "tank" or "healer" character. Instead, find someone who fits your playstyle, then figure out how you want to use them.
You can visit our hunters page to learn more about what each one brings to the fight.
Crucible is developed by Relentless Studios, an Amazon Games development studio based in Seattle. The studio is comprised of industry veterans from ArenaNet, Electronic Arts, Westwood Studios, Xbox, and more.
